Catherine "Joan" Knight passed away peacefully on June 27, 2019 in Chilliwack, BC, surrounded by her family. She is survived by Ken, her loving husband of 60 years, and two daughters, Louise & Deirdre (Rodger). Joan lived in Scotland until emigrating to Canada in 1967 with her family. In Athabasca, Alberta, she was an active member of the community, involved in Kinettes, Scottish country dancing, and the arts. She loved pottery, painting, and amateur theatre. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, socializing & entertaining, as well as her love of flowers, nature and animals. Her lifelong love of books & reading served her well during her time as the town librarian. In 2006, Joan & Ken moved to Chilliwack, BC, and continued to enjoy the time spent with family & friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital (Emergency Room and 4 South) and Dr. David Esau. A special thanks to the staff at Chilliwack Bradley Centre for their exemplary care & kindness.
