July 28, 1943 - September 10, 2019
I arrived into this world in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and was eagerly greeted by my parents Peggy and Alvin Faught. My brother Richard and sister Linda followed a few years later. Before I can remember, we moved to the lakeshore in Sudbury where I lived until I was 18. During this time, I graduated High School and developed a keen interest in sports, especially swimming. From a young age I went to church and then taught Sunday School. This gave me a strong faith to carry me through my earthly life. I joined the RCAF at age 18 and moved to different bases including Winnipeg where I met Les. We got married and when we decided to have a family, I left the RCAF. Our daughters Sheri and Lee and a variety of pets completed our family. We moved to various exotic places like Gysumville MB, North Bay ON, Holberg BC, Inuvik NWT, Oslo Norway and more. I always had various interesting jobs: pre school teacher, radio host, library helper, sewing teacher and a number of years working for DND in Ottawa. We retired to Chilliwack in 1996 and enjoyed a number of years teaching, calling and cueing square dancing and round dancing. It was a fun retirement. My grandchildren Josephine and Celia kept me on my toes. Unfortunately, I have spent the last few years coping with heart problems and ever advancing dementia until my physical being stopped functioning at the beautiful and peaceful Valleyhaven Retirement Community. My spiritual being and I are now off to Heaven to gather with past family, friends and pets. Until we meet again.
