Cam, a devoted partner to Petra for 23 years, a loving father to Sophie, Sam and Ben, passed away tragically at 49 years young.
Born in North Vancouver to his loving parents Howard and Daphne Powell, Cam's early years in Pemberton and Chilliwack shaped his journey. Growing up in Chilliwack with his siblings - Doug, Kim, Randy and Jonathan - Cam exuded a warm and giving spirit from the start.
Discovering his passion for soccer at a young age, Cam honed his skills with the Townsend Rangers, showcasing his athletic prowess and competitive spirit. As he embarked on his career as a carpenter and achieved his Red Seal certification, Cam's talent and generosity shone brighter with each passing day.
Known for his selflessness and unwavering willingness to aid those in need, Cam's heart was as vast as his adventures. His craftsmanship and expertise paved the way for him to explore the world.
Building on his experiences, Cam ventured far and wide, sharing his talent in Japan, New Caledonia, Britain, and the French Alps before finally meeting the love of his life Petra, in London, England. After spending time in Prague, Cam established his family's cherished home in Trinec, Czech Republic.
This home remains his family's sanctuary. Cam poured his heart and soul in creating a home filled with love and memories. Whether crafting structures around the world or building memories in Trinec with Petra, his kindness touched all who crossed his path.
In addition to his remarkable skills, Cam's infectious sense of humour and playful nature brought joy to countless lives. His quick wit and jovial spirt lifted the spirits of those around him, leaving a legacy of laughter and love.
We hold dear the memories of his laughter, his generosity, and the light he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
The Powell family and close friends will have a private celebration of life later this summer.
