Brant Baldwin “Sonny” BERGSTROME

Brant Baldwin “Sonny”Bergstrome passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 58 years. He was born Jan. 18, 1945 in Summerland, B.C. and moved to Chilliwack in 1983.

Sonny is survived by his mother Flora of Summerland and father, Dr. Brant Bergstrome of Napanee, Ont.; sister Breen (Charlie) Robison; niece, Flora and nephew, Charles; brother, Scott (Moira) of Saltspring Island, sister-in-law Connie, Uncle Roy and Aunt Frankie, Aunt Peg; cousins, Ivan Sayers; Cherie, Bill, Peggy Lee, Ida (Wellwood) and Garth Sherwood; numerous nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews. Sister Johan predeceased him in 1988.

Sonny was an achiever who loved life. He was intelligent, imaginative, witty, enthusiastic and loving. He loved music, sports and flying with Charlie. He helped his team win the gold at the 1996 Winter Games in Calgary. Important in his life were, Elizabeth and Ray Sullivan; best friend, Allan; Elenore and Larry Isaac.

A Remembrance Tea was held at the Chilliwack Opportunity Workshop on Thursday Nov. 13, 2003. Cremation with Interment in Summerland Cemetery, Summerland, B.C.
