Our dear Bobby-boy was taken home into the arms of Jesus on August 2, 2024. Because his mother refused to institutionalize him after his birth, Bob went on to live a productive and full life.

Bob attended Sunshine Drive School and, as an adult, the Chilliwack Opportunity Society which was the highlight of his life. Bob lived with his mother, then with his sister, Karen, and her family. His last few years were spent at Wilmada House.

Bob was loving, caring and very humorous. He dearly loved his family and his workshop friends. Singing, dancing and cleaning were among his favourite activities. He was an example to all for how to enjoy life.

There are many people to thank for their committed care for Bob particularly Dr. Heather Leyen; Arlene and Heidi and all the staff and clients at COS; the caring staff at Wilmada House.

A memorial service for Bob will be held on Saturday, August 31st, from 1:30-3:30 pm at the Chilliwack Opportunity Society, 10135 Williams Road, Chilliwack.
