“Bill”DEMMY, DCM, MMM, CD WILLIAM

Mr. William “Bill” Demmy passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on Friday, November 4, 2005 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Fenwood, Saskatchewan on October 5, 1919.

Bill Demmy was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He received the Distinguished Conduct Medal, the Member of Military Merit Award and Continuous Duty 1939- 1972.

Bill Demmy is survived by his loving family; sons, William, Robert (La-Vita), Gerald and Charles (Sylvia) and Daughters, Donna (Kevin) Slauenwhite, Susan (Larry) Kilthau and Kathleen (Dominic) Vincent as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joyce and brothers Len and Sonny and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, of 55 years, 1 sister Dora and 1 grandson Joshua.

Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Lenz officiating with burial at the Anglican Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
