November 10, 1956 - November 1, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Jean Young announce her sudden passing from stroke complications, on November 1, 2020 in Chilliwack, BC. Predeceased by her father Irvine (Herb) Young, Bev is survived by her loving mother Carol Young, sisters Sheila Young, (Harvey), Brenda Catherall, (Mike), dedicated care-givers Janice and Vic Martens, extended family and many dear friends.
Bev was born in Dauphin, Manitoba. For most of her life Bev lived in Chilliwack, BC, where she had many strong connections to her community.
Bev was an active member of the Opportunity Workshop, the Alliance Church, and an enthusiastic Library volunteer at Strathcona Elementary School.
An avid fan of the Vancouver Canucks, Bev cheered for "her team" and followed them passionately. She also enjoyed many different crafts, creating thoughtful gifts for her family and friends.
Bev was truly special. She will be fondly remembered for her kind and caring nature, her wonderful sense of humour and her loving spirit.
Due to COVID restrictions, a small family gathering is planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly's memory may be made to The Opportunities Workshop or another charity of your choice.
