Feb 22, 1951 - Mar 28, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grammy, aunt, cousin, and friend at the age of 67 after a valiant fight with cancer. Bev passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC.

Bev is survived by her loving husband Jerry, son Jerry H. (Kelly), daughter Alicia Neid (Bobby), grandson Sam, stepson Wayne, sister-in-law Sharon MacCallum (Graham), several nephews, nieces and cousins.

She is predeceased by her father Harry, mother Alice, and brother Roland.

Bev was born on February 22, 1951 in Edmonton and grew up in Millet, Alberta. She began her working career in Edmonton and moved to Vancouver in 1970, where she worked for Vancity Credit Union. After marrying Jerry in 1980, she left Vancouver and lived in Fort Nelson, Nova Scotia, and then settled down to raise her family in Chilliwack.

She will be remembered for her loving nature, kindness, sense of humour, and zest for life. She was a devoted mother who would do anything for her children; they always came first. Her grandson, Sam, brought a special spark to her when she needed it most during her struggles with cancer. Her passions included gardening, knitting, music, and the occasional glass of wine. She was a 20-year member of the Chilliwack Elk Lodge, a Mary Kay consultant, and supported many local charities. She was beautiful inside and out.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the BC Cancer Agency. A special thank-you to Dr. Mackenzie, Dr. Winston, Dr. Tinker, trial nurse Teresa Mitchell, and the nurses and doctors at Cascade Hospice. Thank-you to friends and family that loved and supported her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home at 1:30 pm with reception to follow at the Masonic Hall at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or Chilliwack Hospice Society.

She will be forever loved and remembered.
