Betty Jane Pankratz passed away on August 23, 2004 at Chilliwack, BC at age 63 years. She was born May 10, 1941 in Steinbach, Man.
Betty is survived by her husband, Bill Pankratz; children, Barb (Bill) Allenby and Billy (Deena) Pankratz; grandchildren, Karen, Julie and Cameron Allenby, Kelsie Evanoff and Jenna Pankratz; parents, Henry and Susie Unger; siblings, Harry Unger, Diane (Jake) Pankratz and Vera (John) Wiens; numerous nieces and nephews.
Her infant son Barry William Pankratz predeceased Betty.
Betty especially loved children. She loved knitting and crocheting sweaters and blankets for her grandchildren and many others. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She also loved to walk. Betty was a great listener and has touched many lives. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 26, 2004 at 11 am from the United Mennonite Church, 4336 Eckert Rd., Yarrow, BC. Pastor Dan Rempel officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Betty’s name would be appreciated.
