It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Friend, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Mom passed away May 20, 2006 at the age of 77 years at the Chilliwack General Hospital.
She will be remembered as a mother who profoundly loved her family. Bernice was born on January 14, 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After the Second World War she met the love of her life, her late husband Frank. In 1967 Mom and Dad and family moved to Chilliwack, B.C. Bernice earned the respect, admiration and friendship by all who know her, and those who know her, loved her.
Mom has enriched all our lives with her kindness and love. She has left us many wonderful memories. She is survived by her five daughters: Carol Lynn Telford of Courtenay, B.C., Judy (Walt) Hildebrandt of Chilliwack, Debbie Trotter of Boston Bar, B.C., Donna (Doug) Webster of Chilliwack, Janie (Gary) both of Chilliwack; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, special nephew Larry and Barbara Allan of Richmond, B.C. Brother Eric (Karin) Oland of Whitby, Ont. Sisters Helen (Ernie) Woodhouse of Binscarth, Man., Betty Ann Poole of Winnipeg.
A Celebration of Bernice’s life was held on May 25, 2006 from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack. Major Angus Haggarty officiated. Respectfully suggested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society for Hospice House.
