Ben Schlager late of Chilliwack, passed away September 18, 2006 in the Royal Columbian Hospital at the age of 79. Ben was born on February 23, 1927 in Behrendorf, Germany.
Ben is survived by his loving family, daughters; Waldy (Earl) Koropatnick of Calgary, Renee (Bill) Higginson of Chilliwack, Debbie (Lloyd) Buckingham of Kalgoorlie, Australia. Grandchildren; Dillan (Ika) Koropatnick, Tanya (Mike) Koropatnick, Jody (Curtis) Perry, Jamie (Amanda) Higginson, Jana (Dylan) Higginson, Jolene Higginson, Tyler (Angie) Buckingham, Andrea (Tom) Buckingham, Brent Buckingham. Two great-grandchildren: Lauryn and Layton Perry. Sister; Magda Giesen of Germany and brother; Karl Schlager of Germany.
There will be a Funeral Service at the Greendale First Mennonite Church, 42369 South Sumas Rd., Saturday September 23/06 at 1:00 pm, interment to follow at Chilliwack Cemeteries, 10010 Hillcrest Dr. There will be a viewing on September 22/06, 7-8 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
Should Family and friends so desire flowers or donations to the Kidney Foundation in Ben’s name would be acceptable.
