Bernie passed away on December 4, 2011 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 81 years. She was born December 4, 1930 in Fort Coulonge, Quebec.
Bernie is survived by her son James (Heidi); grandchildren, Matthew (Olivia), Gabrielle, Kyana and Jade; brothers Leo Soucy of Bellville Ontario and Graham Soucy from Kingston, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her husband Maurice in September 2000; parents, Moise and Henrietta Soucy and numerous siblings.
Bernie relocated to Nanaimo, BC in 1963 from Kingston, Ontario with husband Maurice. They moved to Sardis in 1966 where they retired. She was a member of the Vedder Legion.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 10, 2011 at 10 am at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on December 9, 2011, 5-7 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Burial at a later date.
