Belva Maxine KOROPATNICK

January 23, 2010

(nee Brett)

Born July 25, 1919 in Camrose Alberta. Passed away peacefully January 23, 2010, age 90, at Chilliwack General Hospital. Predeceased by husband Pat, parents Helen and Earl Brett and brother Enos.

Belva is survived by her daughter Uldeane (Russ) of North Vancouver, sons Earl (Waldy) of Calgary and Gerry (Barb) of Chilliwack. She is also survived by brother Doug Brett and sister Uldeane Wade as well as seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Belva was a long time resident of Chilliwack/Sardis and more recently at the Birchwood Retirement Residence. She loved to play the piano and taught yoga for many years in Chilliwack. She especially loved children and, for several years, eagerly volunteered to assist at Evans Road Elementary where she was fondly referred by many of the students as “Mrs. K.”

The family would like to thank the staff of the Birchwood Retirement Residence and Dr. Ta for all their care and kindness to Belva over the past few years. A small social gathering in her honor will be held Saturday, February 6, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Birchwood, 45650 Patten Ave., Chilliwack.
