Aurise Virginia Soman, born October 3rd, 1918, in Riviere Qui Barre Alberta, passed away peacefully on September 2nd, 2020 at the age of 101 years old in Surrey, B.C.
She is predeceased by her husband Richard who passed in 2005 after 54 years of marriage.
Aurise was the oldest of 15 children and is predeceased by her parents Joseph & Ann Canuel... brothers Lou, Clem, Cliff & Clarence...
Sisters Madge Cushing, Jean Smith, Helen Pement, Vicky Platt, Ann Hanson, Louise Bennett, Tena Woolner...son-in-law Greg Curran.
Aurise is survived by her daughter Carol Ann Curran (Gerry Roy) from Chilliwack B.C., grandson Jason Curran (Jodee Curran) from Victoria, B.C., great-grandchildren Ty, Calista, Kaleb, Ellyssa, Leo & Annika, son Edward Soman (Candy Levine) from Surrey B.C., sister Olive Poncelet from Kamloops, B.C., brothers Raymond Canuel (Doreen Canuel) from Vernon, B.C., Alphonse 'Alphi' Canuel (Norma Canuel) from Lumby B.C. and sister jn law Mary Soman of 100 Mile House.
The family has grown a lot over these years and Aurise had a full long life, with 67 nieces/nephews, 91 great nieces/nephews, 1 grandchild and 6 great grandchildren.
