Auke was born in Bergum, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He was proud to be a farmer in the Agassiz and Chilliwack area.
He met Anne Vanecsh in 1953 and they married that year. They had one daughter. Auke leaves behind his daughter, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Auke's daughter would like to thank all the hardworking staff at the Eden Care facility for make Aukes last months happy and comfortable. He received wonderful care.
