Audrey Hilda Tocher passed away on November 12, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 70 years young, with dignity and beauty.
A lovely intelligent lady, gone from us much too soon.
She was born March 9, 1935 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and recently settled in Agassiz with her partner of many years, Jack Rees.
Audrey’s bright eyes, flashing spirit and insightful sense of humor comforted us through her illness and battle against cancer.
She loved her family unconditionally and with an inspiriting loyalty.
Audrey is survived by the great love of her life Jack Rees; and will be forever missed by her son Gerald (Debbie) Tocher; daughter Janice (Georges) Uebelhardt; stepson Greg (Laureen); grandchildren Georges Uebelhardt, Jerry (Jamie) Tocher, Scott Rees; and her great grandchild Logan Tocher. Also by her much loved brothers the Hourds, Ray, Bud, Jerry, and their families.
She was predeceased by her father and mother; her nephew Ray; her middle child Barry, and her first grandchild Lee.
We are very thankful to our family doctor, Dr Paul Basson, for his care, compassion, and concern. Also to the doctors and nurses at the Chilliwack Hospital, and neighbours and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Audrey’s memory would be appreciated.
