“Russ”

Russ passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord, May 3, 2012. He was born in Vancouver and also lived in White Rock and Chilliwack.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Helen, of 70 years; his son Murray (Carol-Ann); grandchildren, Aaron (Jenn) and Rice (Cory) Causton, his seven great-grandchildren, Micah, Halle, Mia, Matteo, Hillary, Maverick and Lila, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Lorne, brother Ed and his sister Ethel Bradbeer.

Russ served his country overseas with the RCAF 402 Squadron and then had a long career with Imperial Oil. He was known for his hard work and attention to detail. He was dedicated to the churches he attended, West Point Grey and White Rock Baptist and 10th Ave. Alliance. He loved to volunteer and use his talent for building and organizing.

We thank the caring staff at the Birchwood and special thanks go to the 3rd Floor staff at Valley Haven for their loving and considerate care to dad, especially in his final days

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack, BC.

If any so desire, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Ruth and Naomi’s Street Mission, c/o 46305 First Avenue, Chilliwack, BC V2P 1W8.
