Art Birdick Richards passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Chilliwack, BC. He entered Heaven to be with his mother Philiphene Montrose (née Hacker), stepfather William Montrose, and last but not least, his beloved dogger Zena. He was born on January 25, 1943 in Kingston, Jamaica. He arrived in Canada in the early '70s and worked for Alcan in Kitimat, BC until his retirement in 2002. He leaves behind his daughters Natasha Richards (David Martincich), Jacqueline Richards (Kareem Streete-Thompson), granddaughters Janae and Kaiya Streete-Thompson, countless cousins, too numerous to name, and constant companion Margaret Hepting who was there as a source of strength during the final year of his life.
