Arnold William Toeppner passed away on Friday February 25, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 75 years. He was born May 8, 1929 in Monk Township, Bracebridge, Ontario.
Arnold is survived by his wife Lydia Toeppner; sisters Alma Keyes, Iris Wallace; children Karen Stirritt, Jack Toeppner, Donna Dreger; grandchildren Breanne Dreger and Trish Dreger.
Arnold was a Staff Sergeant with the Edmonton City Police for 29 years. He regularly participated with the Edmonton City Police Fish and Game Association. He was an avid fisherman who loved camping and the outdoors. He loved a hearty laugh, long chats and “swapping lies” with anyone who would join him.
After retiring, Arnold developed a steel manufacturing business which he enjoyed owning and running for 26 years.
A Memorial Tea to celebrate Arnolds life will be held on Wednesday March 2, 2005 beginning at 2:00 at the family home, 10025 Llanberis Way Rosedale, BC.
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Arnold’s memory.
