Antonius (Ton) Heemskerk passed away on June 23, 2006 at Chilliwack, BC at age 73 years. He was born February 3, 1933 in Hillegom, Holland. Ton is survived by his wife Toke, daughter Marian (Nick); sons, Peter (Margôt) and Nick (Anita); grandchildren, Marlieke (Bro), Denise, Kim, Megan, Nic, Cindy, Kevin, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Lindsay and Melanie.
Ton started his own business in 1960 in Holland before moving his whole family to Chilliwack in 1982. Here he and his family started a flower nursery and later he expanded that into an import business. He loved to be around people and was more a friend than a salesman. Most of all he was a loving husband, a great father and the best opa.
A viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at the family home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 1:00 pm from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC
