February 3, 1962 - November 2, 2020
It is with sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Anthony (Tony) Vielvoye on November 2, 2020 at the Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 58. Tony was born in Burnaby on February 3, 1962. Tony enjoyed life. He was very friendly and was well liked by everyone who met him. He enjoyed meeting people, visits with his family, camping, boating, wildlife, walking, nature, bowling, Okanagan cherries, an occasional beer, chocolate and bowls of soup. Tony particularly loved talking about the weather and plotting weather forecasts with pictures on his weather board. He was the weatherman. Tony developed a liking for long hair and had a neatly trimmed beard. He was predeceased by his parents Pearl Vielvoye and Arie Vielvoye. Tony's brother Hank Vielvoye will deeply miss his brother and their weekly coffee visits. Tony lived most of his adult life in the care of the Chilliwack Society for Community Living (CSCL) where he enjoyed the companionship of loving caregivers and other participants of the CSCL. The family extends a special Thank You to all staff at
CSCL for all of their support to Tony over the years. Tony will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. No formal service will be held at this time.
