Annie Rojemee ROTHERMEL

September 19, 2007

Annie passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2007, after an 18-month fight with cancer, with her husband and two sons by her side.

Annie was born on November 14, 1945 in Hazelmere, England, the first of three girls of Allan and Doris Lewin.

She was trained as an orthopaedic nurse and physiotherapist in Oswestry, England before moving to Canada in 1972.

Annie lived and worked throughout the Fraser Valley before settling in her home in Ryder Lake in 1986. She was well-known in the community for providing home physiotherapy services in a caring and professional manner, and was a member of the Rotary Club.

Annie was fortunate to have many loving friends, whom she will miss dearly. She enjoyed spending time in her beautiful garden, accompanied by her dog Tessie.

Annie is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Rudy Rothermel; two sons Allan Merrill and Russ Rothermel; two grandchildren Jack and Sydney Merrill; two sisters Jill Lewin and Diana Kuh; and honorary sister Rosie Willetts.

A special thank you to Dr. Alan Quinn, Dr. Alan Richmond, and the wonderful staff at the Chilliwack General Hospital and the BC Cancer Agency.

A memorial service in celebration of Annie’s life will be held on September 25, 2007 at 10 am.

If friends wish, a memorial donation to the BC Cancer Agency would be gratefully accepted in lieu of flowers.
