(nee Bachuk)

Anne passed away peacefully on February 21, 2009 at age 89.

Predeceased by her first husband, George Edward (Ted) Munro and her two older brothers, Mike and Bill, Anne is survived by her husband, Gordon Scott, his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Bob Stinner, and his son, Wayne Scott. Anne will always be loved and remembered by her twin sister, Kay Sinica, and by Kay’s daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and Bill Baxter.

Born in Arborg, Manitoba, as a young child, Anne moved to North Bend, B.C. There she met her first husband, Ted. Married for over 32 years, Ted and Anne had homes in a number of B.C. communities, residing mainly in the Fraser Valley with their last 10 years together in Abbotsford. In 1979, Anne married Gordon. Their married life together centered in their homes in Mission and later in Chilliwack.

Anne is remembered for many accomplishments. An ardent gardener, she shared flowers and vegetables from her garden plot. Her home was always a centre for enjoying good food and good times. Anne will be remembered as the “smiling lady” of the Surrey Co-op for the years she worked there in Abbotsford. She was also a very proud member and supporter of the Rebekah Lodge for over 60 years. Anne’s generous spirit, love of a good joke and kind smile made her many long and lasting friendships during her lifetime and endeared her to all who knew her.

A memorial service for Anne will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 2:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
