December 20, 1930 - May 1, 2021
Our precious mom Annabelle passed away peacefully May 1st, 2021 in the Chilliwack General Hospital at 90 years of age. When she died a light went out in our hearts, she was our champion and our greatest support.
Annabelle was born Dec 20th, 1930 in Aberdeen Saskatchewan and spent her growing up years in Hope and Chilliwack. In 1948 she married Walter Rempel and they made a home in Greendale.
Here she raised her children with love, kindness and patience. She always surrounded herself with beautiful flower and vegetable gardens as well as many family dogs. In 2015 her and Walter moved to Chilliwack.
Annabelle was deeply involved in community activities and her interests varied and many. From politics and world events, to teaching Sunday School for 40 years! She was always busy. She had a deep appreciation and love for wildlife and nature, especially birds and wildflowers.
She worked at Eatons and Hamels Fabrics where she retired at 65. An accomplished seamstress her love of colour was apparent in her quilts and clothes she made. We thank her for instilling in us a love of good home cooked and home grown food. Her baking, especially her pies were amazing.
Annabelle is survived by her son Morley (Darlene), daughters Alexis and Julie (Sandy) and her brothers Mike (Verna) and Greg. Her grandchildren Karla (Dan), Terri (Kyle), Kris (Sarah), Jessie (Jeremy), Deanna (Mike), Lindsay, Shura (Dan) and Wylie (Selene) as well as 10 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Walter, son Francis and sister Nora.
We'd like to thank all the staff who cared for her in the hospital and all the Chilliwack Home Support team. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
Annabelle you were a good friend to many and the best mom in the world. Forever loved and missed.
