Anna Marie Frances Evans “Anne” went to be with her Lord Tuesday September 21, 2004 at home at the age of 77 years. She was born January 29, 1927 in Rossland, BC.
Anne is survived by her children; Patti (Garry) Wells, Michael Evans and Barry (Gail) Evans; her three grandchildren; Jordan and Alicia Wells and Sondra Evans; her sisters, Anne (Richard) Calder, Dorothy (Keith) Purrott, Gertrude Reddick, Alouise Richardson and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas and sisters Marguarite Lawrie and Eileen Ramsay.
Anne grew up in Rossland, BC as one of seven girls born to George and Elizabeth Mara. While working in a bank in Mission City, Anne met and married Tom Evans in 1951. They set up home in Chilliwack and in 1952 added daughter Patti to their lives. Two years later Michael was born and after that the family moved to Vancouver. A third child Barry was to complete the family.
Anne loved her children and was very involved with the family activities. Anne used her accounting skills at Don Lange Jewelers, Wallace Jewelers, O.B. Allan, T.D. Bank in Vancouver and lastly Westcoast Flower Craft, Burnaby. Anne enjoyed travel with numerous trips to Hawaii, cruises, tours of the Maritimes and trips throughout BC.
She loved being “Nana” to her grandchildren. Her last 12 years were spent in Chilliwack with her family and everpresent poodle, Krissy. She will be sadly missed by many friends, church family,
the Wellsbrooke gang and her family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004 from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC, Pastor Jim Gaetz officiating.
