Anna Goedhart passed away peacefully at Cascade Lodge on December 28th, 2011 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on May 3, 1921. Anna and her husband Antonie came to Canada from Holland around 30 years ago, first moving to Southern Alberta, and then settling on a property just west of Chilliwack. They lived at this location for many years and raised Arabian Horses, the first of which they brought with them from Europe. Anna was an independent, yet gracious woman, who loved animals and often took in stray cats. She enjoyed music and was particularly fond of Bach.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Antonie on August 2, 2001.
Graveside Services will be held from the Carman United Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2012. A reception will follow from the Carman United Church located at 7258 Vedder Rd Chilliwack.
