Anita left this world to continue her adventures elsewhere.

Born in Granada Quebec, to Johannah Hoppa and Antti Saari she spent part of her life in remote areas of Ontario. She attended public school via CPR School car #1 in Ramsay Lake . Studied Nursing to become an R.N with degrees in pediatrics, maternal and child health ,and psychology from McGill University.

Growing up , she hunted, fished, ran trap lines , cross country skied or mushed sled dogs to town for supplies. She ran a diamond drill , obtained her pilots license , and helped build the family home.

She loved nature , gardening ,reading , learning, painting and needlework

Anita made her way-out West traveling in a self-converted school bus with her children in the late 70's.

She worked in many hospitals in B.C , finally retiring in Golden and then moving to Chilliwack.

Anita was always a caregiver , right up until her final days . Known in her area by many people as "Granny" . She'd often be baking for friends, neighbors, salespeople , Dr's and even weekly for the garbage men who brightened her days.

She was "Mom" and "Granny" to so many in her life.

Anita leaves behind her daughter Auralee, Grandson Jake , adopted children, Val, Lori, Kelly, Mary, Harriet and Dale . Adopted grandchildren Kayden , Sebastian and Dawn. Extended family Michael, Mark, Robin, Katie, Kelly , Sarah, Matthew, and Glenda.
