January 22, 2021
Passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021 in Queens Park Care Centre, New Westminster, BC at the age of 100 with her loving daughter Elizabeth (Beth) by her side.
Along with her daughter, Angie will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, granddaughter and three great grandsons plus many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Angie was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Saverun (Sav) in 2006 and her son Dannis (Dan) in 2009. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family of six sisters:
Stella, Victoria, Jeannie, Marion, Helen and Frances; and six brothers: Albert, Phillip, Walter, Louis, Joseph and Frank.
After marrying in Vancouver in 1945, Angie and Sav moved to Floods, BC where they raised their family including fostering four boys and an infant girl. Angie then worked part-time at the Hope Bus Depot and the nearby truck stop café; and was an On Call Matron for the Hope Detachment of the RCMP. After 55 years in Floods, Angie and Sav moved to Chilliwack in 1999. Subsequent to Sav's passing, Angie lived for a time in Waverly Assisted Living before moving to Queens Park Care Centre in New Westminster where she resided until her passing. Thank you to the staff and health care providers at both Waverly and Queens Park for their excellent care and support.
A private viewing and Mass of Christian Burial was held on February 1st at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilliwack. She was laid to rest beside her husband at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery in Chilliwack.
Donations in Angie's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC or to a charity of your choice.
