Andy was born in Windsor, NS.  At the age of 12 he moved to Bridgewater, NS with his family.  Following school and business college, Andy worked for Roy O’Brien Wholesales Ltd. in Halifax.

In 1960 Andy moved to Chilliwack, BC to join his parents and sister.  Andy worked in purchasing for Van Waters & Rogers and in 1964 went to Fisher Scientific as Purchasing Supervisor and later on Inside Sales Supervisor.  He worked on his CMA Accounting Program from 1969 to 1974 and after receiving his CMA joined an equipment company as Accounting Manager.  In 1976 Andy went into the client accounting business and in 1978 began teaching accounting at BC Vocational School.  In the mid eighties Andy transferred to Douglas College as an Accounting Faculty member there.  Andy retired from Douglas College in 2001 and he and his wife moved from Coquitlam to Chilliwack to be near family and he did some part-time work for his son in law’s business.  He finally retired for good in December 2006.  In addition to fishing and camping, Andy took up painting as a hobby late in life doing landscapes of Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta and BC.

Andy was predeceased by his parents Alex and Doris Morrison, and his first wife Joeyan (MacLeod) Morrison.  He is survived by his current wife Katherine (McFarlane) Morrison; his daughters Julie Vanthournout (Aaron), Christina van den Brink (Bruce); his grandchildren, Melody, Jasmine, Jarrod and Grace; his step son and daughter Dylan Hagerman (Emily) and Stephanie Schlosser (Shane) and grandson Logan.  He is also survived by his brother David (Arlene) Centreville, NS and his sister Beryl (Don) Mirror, AB as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service to take place on Saturday, January 14 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45864 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack at 1:00pm.  Interment and reception to follow immediately afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association of British Columbia would be appreciated.
