Andrew (Andy) Simon Louwe, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away July 17, 2004 at the age of 74 years. He was born November 18, 1929 in Holland.
He was a past member of Forresters in Sardis and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4.
After a successful career as owner/operator of his own auto repair business, he enjoyed gardening and socializing with his friends and family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 2004 from 7 — 8 p.m. at Henderson’s.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 1:30 at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Pentland officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack.
Andy is survived by 4 children: Kathy (Greg) Holter; Frieda (Neil) Taylor, all of Chilliwack; Marianne Louwe and Jim Johnston of Carstairs, Alta.; Anne Marie MacVicar and former husband, John, of Chilliwack; 9 grandchildren: Jason, Jasmine, Jodie, Tim, Tony, Jamie, Alicia, Melissa, Brittani; 3 great-grandchildren: Kayden, Ashton and Shaelyn; former wife, Frieda Louwe of Chilliwack; loyal companion, his dog, Empress; 3 brothers: Yope Louwe of Holland; Peter Louwe and Simon (Joanne) Louwe, all of Penticton.
Predeceased by daughter, Cindy in 1980; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
