In loving memory, Andrea’s family announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, February 18 at Chilliwack General Hospital.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Lee Darling (nee Todd) (Colin); sisters, Susan and Carol Rutherford, her nephews, nieces, friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Hugh Rutherford and brother, Brian.
Born April 7, 1952, she moved with her family to Ottawa in 1958 where she spent her youth.
After completing a BA in Geography at the University of Western Ontario, she moved west and eventually settled in the Hope and Chilliwack area.
For the past 6 years, her home has been the Greendale neighbourhood of Heritage Village.
Andrea was a vibrant spirit and shared a light and joy that was felt by all.
Her family gives heartfelt recognition to Dr. Melanie Madill for her years of special care. Special thanks go to all the staff and residents of Heritage Village who became Andrea’s extended family.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Church Hall at Chilliwack United Church, 45835 Spadina Ave. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
