Amanda passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 17, 2011 after a long struggle with heart and kidney failure. She was born on November 7, 1926 in Winkler, Manitoba to Johann and Anna (Weins) Harder, the fourth of eight children.
Amanda was a lifelong student and excelled in everything she did. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Oma, great-Oma, sister, aunt and cousin. She will be very much missed by her husband of 65 years, Henry; children, Richard (Dolly) Peters, Elizabeth (David) Todd, Marion (Alex) Peters-Marks, Robert (Leanna) Peters, Susan (Gilbert) Dueck, Linda Marie (Ian) Campbell. Grandchildren, Karen (Ben), Alison, Kevin (Teni), Blair, Keenan (Stacey), Courtney (Dustin), Scott (Sandra), Shaela (Steven), Clayton, Clinton (Val), Tania (Jim), Jenny, Mark (Rachel), Steven (Kari), Graeme, Mitchell (Bethany), Stuart (Vanessa) Ebin, Mira; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Anne (Bernhard) Weins; brothers, Jack (Lorraine) Harder, Nick (Lena) Harder and Ben (Jessie) Harder. Predeceased by sister Nettie and brothers George and John.
Service to celebrate her life will be held 2:30 pm Friday, June 24 at the Salvation Army Church, Brooks Ave., Chilliwack.
