Alvin was a kind and gentle man, greatly loved by his wife Ingrid and children, daughter Brittany of Prince George, step-son Michael of Victoria and grandson Marcus.
He also leaves behind his sisters Louella of Squamish, Vera of Tsawassen and brothers Gene of Yarrow and Robert of Abbotsford, foster sisters Kristina and Eve and many nieces and nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his parents John and Helena Peters of Abbotsford.
Al was a man of many talents and loved adventure, as a young man he got his pilots license and built a plane from a wreck that had been in a crash that he flew for many years and eventually sold.
He worked in the arctic in his 20's and was a helicopter mechanic for some years in N. Delta.
In later years he worked in construction building tilt up cement buildings many of which can be seen around Chilliwack.
The family would like to thank the wonderful Doctors and nurses at the Abbotsford Cancer Clinic and at Chilliwack Hospice.
A memorial service to celebrate Al's life will be held at Sardis Baptist Fellowship, Wells Rd on May 05, 2018.
