It is with great sorrow that Alma Olga Williams passed away on February 17, 2009 at the Bradley Centre, age 89 years. Alma was born on June 10, 1919 in McCreary, Manitoba and was a warm and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Alma is survived by her grandchildren Tara, Aaron, and Amanda Franks, sister Ruth Ledoux and family and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband Edwin Franks in 1947, second husband Eric Williams in 1980, son Wayne Franks in 1987, and siblings Esther Brandt, Oswald, and Ernie Miller.

Alma moved to Chilliwack from Manitoba with her two-year-old son Wayne in 1948 and called it her home permanently.

She was a kind, sweet, beautiful woman with a wonderful sense of humour who was loved by all.

She enjoyed many activities such as going on cruises with her friends and especially going fishing with her husband Eric on the Fraser River.

She adored spending time with her family and friends who Alma loved dearly. Alma was a special woman who touched many hearts. “We Love You.”

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8871 School Street, Chilliwack, with tea to follow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and/or the Cancer Society.
