Born in Burnaby BC July 24, 1924. Passed on peacefully July 29, 2009 at 85 years and 5 days at Chilliwack, BC.
Allen was predeceased by his parents George and Rose and by his sisters and brothers Violet, May, Lily, Daisy, George, Gordon and Frank. He is survived by Vivian his loving wife of 55 years, and his children Robin, Louise and Kirby, grandchildren David, Lisa, Nick and Yoshi; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Allen enjoyed the beautiful outdoors and had many adventures throughout Canada and around the world and loved to share his trips through photos and video with all who would listen. Allen and Vivian met people from around the world on these trips and many would later come to visit and enjoy the hospitality of their home in Rosedale. Allen belonged to the Valley Jeep Club, Chilliwack Camera Club and the Valley Outdoor Association. Whether hiking to the top of Mt. Edziza or climbing the Pyramids of the sun and the moon, exploring Darkest Labradour, Merry Olde England, Australia, Central America or rafting down another river in the Canadian Arctic we know Allen is off on another grand adventure and will be waiting for us to get there to see the photos.
