Allegonda (Connie) VOLLEBREGT

It is with great sadness and loss, we announce the passing of Allegonda (Connie) Vollebregt, suddenly on December 22, 2006.

She was born in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands, on November 8, 1928.

She is survived by her husband, Johannes (John); daughters Cathy Dureen (Melvin); Cori Plante (Eric); Jenny Adolph (Keith); foster son Bryan McFarland (Judy); grandchildren, Ashley and Meghan Dureen, Briana and Raimy Plante, Kirsten and Jillian Adolph, and Shane McFarland (Monique).

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Caitlyn Adolph.

She was a loving wife, mother and Oma and her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Allegonda married John in 1953 and together they said goodbye to their families and immigrated to Canada. They started their life in Canada on the Bonaparte Ranch in Cache Creek.

After a few years they moved on and eventually purchased their first dairy farm in North Bend.

In 1968 they moved to another farm in Rosedale and again to another farm on Yale Road in Chilliwack before they retired.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
