Chadsey, Allan Marcy. Allan Chadsey passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30th in Chilliwack at the age of 78. He was born in 1935 on Lickman Rd in Atchelitz in Chilliwack and was the oldest of 5 children born to Alvin and Mildred Chadsey. He descended from the original 4 Chadsey brothers who moved to and farmed the Sumas Chilliwack Prairie in the 1850's & 60's. He grew up enjoying playing baseball, working for local farmers and fishing. He worked as a professional driver for Cattermole and Dairyland operating logging trucks, tanker trucks, gravel trucks, dragline and all other kinds of machinery. He was an extremely hard worker and proud to never have been out of work. Allan was friendly, generous, strong, determined, caring and tender-hearted. He will lovingly be remembered by his children Michael (Sandra) and Rickard; grandchildren Jessica, Kaitlyn, Nathan, Mikayah, Elijah and Maiyah; sisters Linda and Elva and their families and his brother Gary and his family. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond.
A Memorial Tea will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack. Allan will be buried with his relatives in the Chadsey plot at Chilliwack Cemeteries. Memorial donations may be made in Allan Chadsey's name to the Chilliwack Cancer Society.
