(Nov. 22, 1975 - March 1, 2008)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alison Duncan who was in a car accident west of Hope on March 2, 2008.

Alison was born in Lytton, BC, and then her family moved to Agassiz, BC where she graduated high school. She returned to her native roots of Lytton and started working for Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council in 2002. She worked as a Researcher in Specific Claims and worked closely with the elders to help revitalize the Nlaka’pamux language.

One of Alison’s passions was photography and she always had a camera in her hand to take that once-in-a-moment picture.

Alison was a dedicated and loving mother who had a heart of gold; she was full of life and passion; you could always hear her laughing. For her short time here, she lived life to the fullest and nothing would hold her back. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Alison leaves behind her two beautiful daughters: Mia and Chloe; spouse: James Watson; mother, Yvonne; and brother: Dwayne (Carrie). She leaves behind numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Prayers to take place Friday, March 7, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., at Alison’s home.

Funeral to take place at Lytton Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
