Alice Longland late of Chilliwack passed away December the 13, 2006 at the age of 93. She was born in Saskatchewan on March 1, 1913.
Alice enjoyed gardening, hiking and the outdoors. She was an active member of Chilliwack United Church, where she acted as church librarian for many years. She was also involved with Meals On Wheels, The Welcome Wagon and the Chilliwack Field Naturalists.
Alice will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter in-law Carolyn Longland, grandchildren Margo and husband Rob of Vancouver,
Chad and fiancÃ© Amanda of Chilliwack, brother Frank (Evelyn) Tuplin of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and sister Marguerite Adams of Kingston Ontario. She is predeceased by her husband Bert in 1968, oldest son Edward in 1972, and son Ernie in 1986.
There will be a service held for Alice at the Chilliwack United Church on Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 at 11:00 am, Rev. Doug Ireland officiating, followed by a Tea and interment at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Alice’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society of BC, BC Lung Society or the Chilliwack United Church.
