Alice Langbroek passed away suddenly on August 26, 2011 to be with her Saviour God, Jesus Christ. Alice was born in the Netherlands, April 27, 1925. She is survived by six of seven children. Alida Hansma, Casey (Jane), Gerald (Lydia), Emily Van Reeuwyk, Martha Schinkel and Peter (Caroline), 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her husband George, March 30, 2002 and daughter Audrey, July 3, 1990.
Alice was born in the Netherlands. George and Alice Langbroek were married on January 12, 1950. They immigrated from the Netherlands to Chilliwack on May 1956 with their first three children.
She will be remembered by her sweetness, graciousness, kind and gentle nature. Alice loved visiting with her family and friends. Alice loved attending church through which she lived the gospel. She was an example and left a heritage of her faith with us.
Celebration of her life will be held Thursday, 10 am, September 1, 2011 at the Free Reformed Church, 45471 Yale Road in Chilliwack. Pastor John Koopman officiating. Viewing Wednesday Evening, Aug. 31, 2011, 7-9 pm at Free Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Aviation Fellowship.
