Alfred Martin Miller
July 16, 1947 - September 24, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Martin Miller, born July 16, 1947 in Unity, Saskatchewan.
Al worked for Corrections Canada for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2005.
During 2005 Al fought a very brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He had just finished all treatment when he was hit by a car on December 7, 2016.
His body was unable to recover from that final incident.
Al was a kind, loving and caring person. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors and all nature had to offer.
He was a "Jack of all trades" who knew how to fix almost anything.
He will be missed by his wife of 25 years Denise and children Mike (Karen), Karen (Mark), Debbie (Andy), Lisa (Chris), Kevin (Melissa) and Ryan, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Miller and siblings Ken (Joan), Anne, Carol (Don), Darlene (Chuck).
Al was predeceased by his father Martin Miller in 2013.
A celebration of life will be held on October 4, 2017 at 1 pm at Henderson Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue. Chilliwack.
