Alfred Graham RICE

A. Graham Rice passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer at the Oilfield General Hospital on May 5, 2009 at the age of 61 years. Graham was born on February 3, 1948 in Russell, Manitoba.

He worked for National Feeds in Winnipeg and then went to work for United Feeds in 1974. He managed operations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta.

Graham was active in politics and the feed industry. He raised horses and cattle. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, played cards and hosted an annual summer fest.

Graham is survived by his wife of 27 years Eleanor; children: Meghan McClurg, (Sgt. Noah McClurg US Army), Shanleigh Eleanor Rice and Graham David Rice; special grandchildren: Konnor and Kolton McClurg; mother–in-law, Margaret B. Coop; sisters, Lyla (Harold) Rogers, Marsha Rice, Donna Rice (Gerard Grace), Allison Rice; brothers, Carthur (Valerie) Rice, G. Winston Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graham was predeceased by his parents A. Lyle Rice and Nora Rice and his father-in-law Stanley Coop.

A Celebration of Graham’s life will be held at the Millarville Community Church Millarville on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
