December 31, 1935 - March 28, 2019
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alexander Crosbie. Alex passed peacefully at Cheam View Care home on Mar. 28th.

Born in Motherwell, Scotland, he served in the 1st Battalion of the 16th Independent Parachute Brigade before settling in neighbouring Kilmarnock with his young family. Wanting a better life for his wife and three children he encouraged his family to immigrate to Chilliwack, BC in 1974 where they promptly added a Canadian baby to the family. Alex's skills as a bricklayer made him a reliable builder through his company Claymore Masonry where he participated in constructing many local buildings. In his spare time he was almost unbeatable on local golf courses where his long drive was the envy of his friends.

A strong, gentle man he is survived by his brother Bryone, sisters Celia (Bill), and Lorna, his children Martin (Jacquie), Fiona, Jonathan (Rhonda), and Alexis (Michael), 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. In his later years, Alex valiantly fought against dementia and did not let it win still enjoying long walks, watching football (soccer) games, and spending time with family.

Our family is especially grateful to the caregivers at Cheam View in Agassiz who adopted him as their "Papa Alex".

Alex, "Bing", "Big Alex", "Papa", and Dad will be missed forever.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 14th from 2-4 pm at Meadowlands Golf Course, 47823 Yale Rd, Chilliwack.
