Agnes, wife of Jacob Martin Koop, went to be with her Lord at the Bradley Center in Chilliwack on August 2, 2012. She was born April 10, 1925 and accepted the Lord as her Saviour August 1, 1938 and was later baptized.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is remembered for her hard work on the farm, love and hospitality for her whole family, Christian service, prayer life and love for the Bible.
She was predeceased by many relatives and friends and in particular her son Wesley; daughter, Phyllis and great grandson, “Nugget” Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Jake; children, Kris (Daryl) Isaac, Carol (Rod) Isaac, Dale Koop; son in law, Dave Popowich; 7 grandchildren and their spouses; 3 grandchildren; brother Ed Dirks; sister Verna Voth; brother in law, Art Peters; and her nieces and nephews.
A burial at Chilliwack Cemeteries was followed by a celebration of her life in the Tea Room at Henderson’s Funeral Home, led by Rev. Leon Throness.
Special thanks to Dr. Bull and the wonderful staff at the Bradley Centre. And, Henderson’s Funeral Home who took care of the arrangements. Above all, thanks to God for His faithfulness to Agnes and for the “hope” we have in Christ that we will see her again “in the morning.”
