Agnes LANG

February 14, 2003

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nana, and Great-Nana, (Jessie) Agnes Lang, on February 14, 2003 at Nakusp.

Predeceased by husband Albert in 1995; sister Jean Carson; and brothers, Carroll, Kenneth, Robert and Norman Vance.

Agnes leaves to mourn, her sons, Gary (Gillian) of Delta, and Doug (Marion) of Nakusp; granddaughters, Danna (Bob Moody), Sharon, Vanessa, and Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Rowan, Taylor and Zhara; sisters, Enid Acheson (Joe), and Anne McOuat; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Agnes lived most of her married life in Chilliwack, working for Fraser Valley Frosted Foods, dentist Dr. Jack Barber, and finally for Canada Safeway for many years. She was also active with ceramics and china painting for a number of years. Two years ago she bravely undertook the adventure of moving from Chilliwack to Nakusp to be closer to her young great-granddaughters.

With those ‘oh-so-blue’ eyes and her quiet, unassuming grace and dignity, and with her many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, Agnes touched the lives of all who met and knew her. She will be greatly missed!

Memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack. Reception to follow at Henderson’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arrow Lakes Hospital, Box 87, Nakusp, B.C., the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
