Agnes Boswell passed away July 13, 2009 at Cascade Hospice, Chilliwack B.C.
Agnes was born September 15, 1922 in St. Walberg, Saskatchewan. Agnes leaves behind her daughter Gail (Rob) Caljouw, granddaughter Shannon (Dwight) Mervold, great-grandchildren Ethan and Hayden Mervold and her brother Fred (Jean) Mitchell. Agnes was predeceased by husband George Boswell, companion William Clark, her parents Scottie and Doll Mitchell, sisters Helen Mitchell and Rheta Anderson and brother Jack Mitchell.
Agnes was matriarch to a most diverse group of people. She was an avid gardener, suduko player, political enthusiast and debator with a sharp mind and wit. Ag began playing the organ in church in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan, obtained her teaching certificate, worked in several banks and spent 20 years as head accountant for Kilborn Engineering. Her home was the center of the community where everyone was welcome.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Chilliwack Cemeteries, 10010 Hillcrest Dr. Gathering of family and friends after the service at Ag’s home. In lieu of flowers donations to Chilliwack
Hospice Society would be appreciated.
