Adriana "Jean" Engelsman passed away on August 25, 2021, at the age of 84. She died peacefully at Cascade Hospice and as a family we were very blessed to spend time with her in the final days with much laughter and reminiscing.
Adriana will be dearly missed by her 3 children, Connie and Art Van Klei, Jennifer Vroegop, and Lawrence and Greta Engelsman, as well as her 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Adriana was born in the Hague, the Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951 when she was 14 years old. Adriana met her husband in Calgary and was married on February 19, 1957.
After having 3 children, they decided to move to Chilliwack in 1978 where they made their permanent home. Adriana has left her family with many loving memories that will always be treasured.
As family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Sunset Manor, the ICU at Chilliwack Hospital, and Cascade Hospice, for the compassionate care in making her final days comfortable and peaceful.
The funeral was held at Henderson's Funeral Home on Thursday, September 2.
