In accordance with Section 26 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Chilliwack intends to sell a 278.6 m2 portion of Highway located off of Marie Avenue closed under “Highway Closure and Removal of Dedication Bylaw 2024, No. 5422”, (the “property”) as shown on the map below, to Castillo Developments Inc. (the “developer”).
The property is being sold to the developer on the conditions that it be purchased at fair market value; consolidated with properties at 45651 Alma Avenue; 5446, 5456, 5462 and 5478 Vedder Road; 5471, 5477 and 5487 Viola Street; on which a development is required to be constructed (the “development”); that the developer grants the City a 504.7 m2 Statutory Right of Way and Covenant for use as a road and thoroughfare to Alma Avenue; and further, that all legal fees and costs associated to complete the transfer, registration of required documents at the New Westminster Land Title Office and relocating of any City or private utilities affected, are paid for by the developer.
