Young Road crash in Chilliwack sends driver to hospital

Traffic was diverted briefly on Young Road Wednesday morning after an northbound vehicle smashed into a light standard.

Traffic was diverted briefly on Young Road Wednesday morning after an northbound vehicle smashed into a light standard before coming to rest in the median.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. just before the rail tracks.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by ambulance. A second person was also reportedly injured.

The northbound lanes of Young Road were closed while debris was cleared and Chilliwack RCMP investigated.
