Anyone with a desire to weigh in on the Yarrow Neighbourhood Plan has a two-hour window opening up to do so on April 6.

City of Chilliwack announced the draft Yarrow plan will be the subject of an engagement opportunity between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 6 at the Yarrow Community Centre.

Residents can drop in to peruse information boards and ask city staff questions.

Existing development is constrained by the limitations of Yarrow Water Works, the septic system and more.

This consultation comes on the heels of previous surveys and info sessions in 2021.

This latest engagement opportunity came on the heels of the city staff report to council on March 15.

“The top priorities for Yarrow according to the survey are retention of rural character, environmental protection and floodplain management, transportation (vehicular traffic, road network, safety) and active transportation.”
